Bio & Focus:

My practice focuses on human-centered counseling utilizing eclectic/alternative approaches to mental health counseling. I provide treatment to individuals, couples, and groups for a variety of cognitive and emotional health issues and relationship problems, including anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, stress, and suicidal impulses. I also recognize that not all client issues result from mental illness. Many everyday challenges clients face are well within the scope of responsible coaching practice. Based on client presentation and needs, I endeavor to provide services at the most appropriate level of care. In addition to cognitive-behavioral therapies, I have a strong background in applied psychophysiology/biofeedback, hypnosis, and integrative/complementary and alternative medicine. My approach with patients is to guide and teach them to manage the impact of barriers that prevent them from moving forward and successfully living their best lives. I received my training in hypnotherapy from the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH). I regularly employ hypnosis in treatment.
