I don’t know if any of you realize, but we are halfway into April already?! Where does the time go and why does it go by faster as you get older? It should be the other way around!

With a little more than 4 months into the year, I’d like to do a reboot.

This is a great time to revisit any fitness or healthy eating goals you may have had at the start of 2021. Look, we all know following a healthy eating plan and sticking to a regular exercise routine is good for us, and If you don’t, it’s time you do.

This week, I’m going to try and sweeten the pot. Sharing several lesser-known benefits of exercise and eating right. Some of them might surprise you and some might even inspire you. 💋

Reboot by Reducing Allergies

Some research has suggested that running can help reduce allergy symptoms by up to 90%. An overall reduction of sneezing, itching eyes, runny nose, and congestion. If you are an allergy sufferer, it’s time to lace up those sneakers! Here is my favorite pair: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21 $130 brooksrunning.com

Reboot

Try this Reboot to Improve Cognitive Abilities

A diet rich in protein,( fish, chicken breast, tofu) anti-oxidants,(brightly colored fruits and vegetables) and healthy fats(walnuts, olive oil) has shown to increase cognitive capacity and reduce future memory loss. My anti-oxidant of choice: R.W Knudsen Organic Just Tart CherryJuice  $8.99 / 32oz. publix.com

Reboot

Protect Eyesight Reboot

New research has indicated that regular exercise can help protect your eyes from age-related vision loss. One reason for that is, exercise increases blood oxygen levels throughout your body Thus improving circulation and blood flow, even to your eyes. While running outside, I couldn’t live without these non-slip polarized sunglasses: Goodr The OG’s Sunglasses  $25 goodr.com

Boost Happiness Reboot

Studies have shown that increasing your daily intake of fruits and vegetables, can improve your mood. Treating your body well helps you feel more positive, more energetic, and happier. Bring on the broccoli! 🥦 Exercise, on the other hand, releases endorphins, creating a sense of euphoria and happiness. It really is life’s natural anti-depressant. One of my favorite full-body exercise tools, options are unlimited! Resistance Bands   $19-$60 dickssportinggoods.com

Bandier

What started in 2014 as a one-stop-shop to buy all your activewear and exercise gear, has turned into a global sensation. Jennifer Bandier opened her first store in Southhampton, NY to offer the best selection of activewear in one place. Mission accomplished. This is my go-to website to buy the latest running shoe or workout top. If you are looking for chic loungewear or high-performance exercise gear? Look no further. This is it. bandier.com
